fun at aunt brookie's

last friday night, parker and mallory spent the night with me. i left walker at home because, well, i'm just not sure i could handle all 3 of them all night all by myself. maybe i could, but i just wasn't ready to chance it. anyway, we really didn't do anything, but they had a blast! and so did i.

the kids enlightened me on a few things while they were here:

1. i HAVE to get more toys before they come over again because "i just don't have enough."
2. mallory headbutts people sometimes. (and it hurts) when i told her that's not very nice, she told me "i'm learning brookie." i asked her what she was learning. "the things little girls are supposed to learn." she wouldn't give me details because i'm grown up and i'm already "learned."
3. being woken up at 7:15am with a 7 year old 3 inches from your face saying "wake up brookie" is scary and sweet all at the same time.
4. my house is small and mallory is "soooooo sorry i have to be ALLLLL ALONE and by myself allllll the time." thanks kid. you really know how to make me feel better about myself! :)
5. my 82 pairs of shoes are the best entertainment.


being the best aunt that i am, i'm pumped them full of sugar saturday morning and took them home. sweet walker came running to me and thought it was his turn to go! next time, buddy - i promise! sadly enough, i don't have any pictures. but the memories are engraved in my mind forever!

I wanna come spend the night at Aunt Brookie's!! And I won't make you buy any toys either. :-) Seriously, let me know when you come to town this fall. We have to get together.
