the birthday week was off to a rough start. i came down with a sore throat which turned in to stuffy nose and no sleep. that didn’t make me happy! but after 2 days of rest, i’m back to feeling 100%. so wednesday after work, 2 of my fave girls and i headed to the matt jones art gallery. free food. free wine. lovely art. need i say more?? we hung out there for a while and then headed to avo for some drinks and appetizers. the apps were… let’s just say they didn’t sound to appetizing. but we enjoyed our drinks and especially good convo there at the hip modern bar and then headed on to our last stop, davenports pizza. i forgot how awesome that place is! simply delicious!
tonight, the week will continue with my work friends outing. then friends and family night at momma g’s inverness (opening SOON). then who knows what??!! nobody has to work the next day so maybe we can find some trouble to get in to! have i mentioned how much i love my birthday??!!! i know it may seem silly or childish, but why not embrace getting older by celebrating all week?! i mean, i really just love having fun things to do all week. so tomorrow is pool day + slip ‘n’ slide party + my amazing friends = if you don’t have fun you totally suck at life! get ready for some what are sure to be entertaining pictures!!!

What a fun week. And no, I don't think it's childish to love your b-day. We always spread b-days out for the entire week. I love it! It's called aging gracefully. I'm right there with you on embracing it and having fun at every age. Love you! Happy Birthday!!
